who am i?

First things first, I’m a sales professional who can visualize data better than you. You can call me TJ.

Now that you know who I am, I will answer the ‘who am I?’ question as it pertains to why you’re probably here, through the lens of data analysis & visualization. The quick version of this answer is I’m learning. Like I said, I sell things for a living. If you’re asking me vs. a data professional, I’m currently out in left field. But that’s the whole point of this. Hopefully one day I can change this about page to say something different.

To bring this longer than necessary About page to an end, I’ve been learning data analysis and business intelligence tools intermittently over the last year or so. It’s been intermittently because once you go through a course and ‘learn’ the said tool…it ends. I don’t use any of these tools day to day so I effectively just wasted between 10-40 hours of my life depending on the course.

The purpose of this website, and the work I post here, is to not just lose that time, I once wasted. I’m documenting everything I do through the courses I take and hopefully through projects I get my hands on. This will essentially be a portfolio website once I have a few projects uploaded or completed enough to post progress with the hopes of having a few of you follow along through the Blog posts.
